Cricket. The first of the matches in the South Canterbury Cricket Association's competition wcro played on Saturday in tine weather. Old Boys, who met Geraldine at Geraldino, closed the first innings with 255, and Geraldino secured 54 for two wickets.

Zingari scored 110 against Star at Anzae square, and Star lost six wickets for 60.
