.MAGISTERIAL. SATURDAY. (Before Mr K. D. Mosley, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender was fined 10s, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment for drunkenness. Charles McDonald, of no fixed abode, was fined 20s, in default 4S hours' imprisonment, on a charge oi drunkenness.

CHILDREN'S COURT. (Before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.lf. and Mrs A. E. Herbert, J.P.) A lad of 16 was charged with stealing, on divers dates, money totalling £6 15s and also with stealing £34 10s 6d, the property of his former employers. It was stated that he and another lad, who has been dealt with, shared the proceeds of the thefts and bought tickets from the Union Steam Ship Company. The lad was placed under the care of the Child Welfare Officer for two years and was ordered to repay £l3 5s in instalments as directed.
