FIRES.
DUNBDIN OUTBREAKS. (FKZBB ABSOCUTIOS TILIGEAM.) DUNEDIN, November 4. A six-roomed wooden house in Wingatui road, Wingatui, owned and occupied by Mr R. C. N. Reed, trainer, was totally destroyed by fire at about 9 o'clock yesterday evening. The occupants were absent at the time and the cause of the outbreak is therefore unknown. The building was insured for £BOO in the Standard Office, and the contents, which included a valuable piano, for £250 in the same office. A stable near the dwelling was undamaged, and 10 racehorses which it housed were removed without difficulty.
An unoccupied four-roomed wooden house at the corner of College and Peter, streets, Caversham. was badly damaged by fire at 2.40 this morning. The dwelling was owned by Mr C. Graham, a railway employee, of Milton.
