DOMAINS BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Ohristchurcb Domains Board was held yesterday afternoon. Present —Messrs Geo. Harper (chairman), J. A. Flesher, H. J. Beswick, E. F. Stead, R. B. Owen, F- G«orgc, S. A. Orchard, G. McGregor Wright, and S. Beckett. The New Brighton Borough Council wrote acknowledging the gift of a sky-glider. A copy of a letter from the secretary of the Canterbury College Students' Association to the Registrar was read, pointing out that cleuning-ui) work had been done at the tennis courts in North Hagley Park, as desired by the Domains Board.. ' Tho South Island Bands' Association wrote asking permission to use the Memorial Rotunda for a series of summer concerts. 'lt was proposed that a portion of the collection should go towards paying off tho cost of the rotunda. Jt was decided to "grant tha application, subject to a statement of receipts and expenditure being supplied immediately -.after each concert. A sub-committee, consisting of Messrs Harper. .George, Orchard, Owen, Winsor, and the Curator, was set up to meet ft committeo of the Canterbury Horticultural Society to arrange a fete to be held in February.
