The Waratahs fielded about their strongest side, but Cambridge was without Williams, its hooker, and lost Morgan after 30 minutes of play. The Waratahs in the first half sawmuch more of the ball, and the passing in the back division was always sound and executed with iudgnient. Cambridge, although a man short, showed a great improvement in the second half. The Waratahs did not get many chances after the interval, when the Cambridge players finally roused themselves.
