SWIMMING.
NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. The Council of. the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association met last evening, Mr YV. E. D. Bishop presiding. There were also present: Messrs Fred G.' Dunn (South Canterbury), C. Bryant (Wanganui), J. Jackson (Hawke's Bay)-, D. Coulter (Canterbury), A. Mac Donald (Westland), 1\ Collins (South Auckland), and B. O'Neill (Wellington). A draff of the annual, report and balancosheet was submitted and approved. ' The'programme for the New Zealand championships as drawn up by tfie Otago Centre was approved. i It was decided that the Davies Shield for the school gaining the highest percentage of certificates for swimming during last season be awarded -to the Hereworth • School, H,ayolock. Nor>h, this school having obtained a percentage of 84.63.
