LABOUR GAINS.
~♦ BRITISH MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. (BT CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPTBIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN' AND N.Z AND SUN CABLE.) (Received November 2nd, 7.20 p.m.) LONDON, November 2. Labour gains are a feature of the municipal elections in 300 cities and boroughs of England and Wales. The latest returns show 105 Labour gains and 12 losses; seven Conservative gains and 70 losses; 12 Liberal gains and 33 losses; 16 Independent gains and 25 losses. Moderates won five seats front Labour in Glasgow.
