OBJECTION TO SMOKING BAN. (BY GABLE—PSKSS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AXD N.Z CABLB ASSOCIATION.) BRISBANE, November 2. Work on the water front at Bowcn is at a standstill, as the result of 20 workers being fined tor .smoking in a wooden portion of the jetty. The men ceased work as a protest, and refused to resume unless the Water Board refunds the fines and allows the men to smoke anywhere on the wharves.
