PRISONERS SENTENCED.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBASIS.) WELLINGTON. November 2. The following prisoners were sentenced by Mir Justice Macgregoi; to-day: —Sidney Adams and Edward Johnson. who were found fruilty of breaking and entering with intent to steal, two years' imprisonment; Thomas Duke, robbery with violence in a Chinese shop, three years' hard labour; Edward "William Slatterv Corless receiving stolen Eoods. threo years hard labour.

Enterprise and invention are now being increasingly devoted to motor-boat designing. and probably before long every navigable creek and waterway "will be frequented with explorers who feel the spirit of Columbus and: stout Cortez without sharing their perils and privations."
