PAPANUI DOMAIN BOARD.
LAST NIGHT'S MEETING. A meeting or* the Papanui Domain Board was held in the VTaimairi Council Chamhjws last nifiht. ' Present: Messrs F. W. Sisson (chairman), H. Tillman'. "VV. J. "Walter, C. G. Dervctt, J. Munro, S. Kruse, and J.- Carrington. A deputation from the Amateur Athletic Cycling. Association consisting of Messrs D. Richardßon, T. Groae, and T. Mathews '.•touted on the Board and made application •for the use of the domain as their cyclinjr headquarters. Mr Richardson said they were desirous of running a few events each Saturday. They were also considering forming a new club. in Papanui and would do everything in their power to keep tho cycling track in good order. The domain would he required practically every Saturday during tho summer mouths until Easter, but in the event of it beinfr required for other purposes, arrangements could bo made to run the meetings durins the week. After the deputation withdrew there was considerable discussion in rezard to the rights of the Board. Tho chairman said permission to charge was only allowed on fifteen days each year.' A few of tbo members expressed the ovinion that the track should bo done away with altogether. It was eventually decided to grant the Association the use of the domain from time to time at tho discretion of the Board.
