A letter was received from the Citizens' Association inviting members io a meeting, at w.hich the tramway, policy would lie. dealt with. It was decided that the invitation be accepted with thanks.
It' ,was decided to write ■ to' the United Bmgesscs': Association- asking it to include the rc-establishme.nt of the JCo 10 line to the sea, in its questionnaire to the Tramway Board candidates. . With regard to the tramway election, it. was decided to approve of tlio candidature of Messrs Fleshor, Wood, and Walter, and, that a, circular letter' be sent' to the new' candidates asking if they are prepared to support''the' re-establishment, of the 2Co. 10 line to the sea, and to call a special meeting to receive the replies. It was decided to write to the Borough Council asking it to clear ihe roads of all growth ttiat might cauac the spread of fire. Mr Franklin complained of the lack of police protection .of property, in the outlying parts of the borough.
