Of the previous concert a local ". critic wrote: "It is gratifying to bo able to record the fact that in Christchurch* ! there are:some very line pianists—youthful players who take their art seriously, and who are able to come beforo an audience and reproduce really big works with-a skill that .calls .for the highest commendation. Among the more advanced of these players arethe members of tho Acolirini .Club, who gave the-first recital of the 1027' season before a cjratifyingly large audience.
