COMMEMORATION IN LONDON. (BY CABLE —PBISS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLX ASSOCIATION.)
(Received November Ist, 7 p.m.) LONDON, October 31. Princess Beatrice, as patron of the Empire Ypres League, in commemoration of the first battle of Ypres, placed a wreath on the.Cenotaph inscribed: "To the glorious memory of 200,000 Britons who fell in the Ypres salient 1914-18." France, Belgium, Australia, and Canada were represented at the ceremony. A further wreath was deposited from the Government and people of Australia. ' Dean Morris addressed the gathering.
