ARMISTICE DAY.
EMPIRE BROADCAST PROPOSED. PRINCE OF WALES' ADDRESS. (BT CABLE—PBES3 ASSOCIATION—COPXBIGBT.) (Australia* and n.z. cable association./ LONDON, October 31. The first broadcast throughout the Empire, through the British Broadcasting Company's shorf wave station at Chelmsford, will be a Remembrance Festival at Albert Hall on November 10th, the eve of Armistice Day, when the Prince of Wales will address 10.000 exservice men.
Thus for the first time in history the Dominions and Colonieß will have an opportunity of sharing in London's commemoration of the armistice by an audible link. In view of the success of Mr Gerald Marcuse's transmissions to Australia, and 2FC's broadcast to Great Britain, there seems every reason to believe that SS\V will be received throughout the Empire. Chelmsford will use a 24-metres wave length, and a power of 20 kilowatts, giving a chance of reception throughout the world. __ BRITISH LEGION FESTIVAL.
(AUBTBALIAW AND K.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received November Ist, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 31. The "Daily Express" states that the joint organisers of the British Legion remembrance festival say the aim is to link up ex-soldiers scattered throughout the Empire upon the imperishable anniversary, help to renew war time comradeship, and to remind the Empire that it lias not- paid its debt_ to those heroes still unplaced in civil life.
