RIFLE SHOOTING.
CHRISTCHURCH DEFENCE CLUB. The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club fired its first long-range competition at Tai Tapu on Saturday afternoon. The weather was fine, but a strong north-easterly, 'which varied from tv,-o to fourteen degrees left, had the various competitors thinking hard. The winner was Rifleman J. Davison, who shot consistently, putting on 32 at each range. Scores:— "
