PICNIC.
- The Young People's Sociefy of the Sydenham Presbyterian Church held a. picnic on Saturday at Governor's Day. Forty members were present. The Moat Knowe Musicroom was thrown open for their use, and in the evening they gave :i delightful entertainment to the residents of the bay. Mr Thompson, president of the Society, occupied the chair. The items were:—Chorus by the Society, two violin solos by Mr H. Crockett, two vocal solos by Miss McKay, and two recitations by Mr K. Foster. Miss Carmicliacl gave a pianoforte solo and acted as accompanist. The Boys' Athenaeum Orchestra, by request, gave a number of selections.
