TOURIST OFFICES.
ESTABLISHMENT ABROAD. "That the Government be urged to establish Tourist Offices or Agencies in other parts of the world, in addition to those'already in Australia." Mr T. H. Rice (Wauganui) moved the adoption of this remit at the conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerco yesterday. He.said there was no suggestion that the Government should spend sixpence on the proposal, but that the work should be undertaken by reputable firms, sad that payment should be by results. New Zealand should-, have an agency' in every city in the world from which such business was likely to be received. Mr W. J. Gilberd (Wanganui) seconded the motion. Other speakers supported the remit which was adopted.
