CITY ABLAZE.
CHO-CHOW CAPTURED. (BI CABLE-- PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTJULUK AND *.Z- CABI.B ASSOCIATION) SHANGHAI, October 28. Japanese advices state that Chang Tso-lin's forces attacked Cho-chow, a large city in Northern Shansi. They rushed into the walled town, breaking down the two city gates, but met a stubborn resistance from the Shansi troops. After fierce street fighting the victory rested with the attackers. Many civilians were killed. Hie defeated troops fired the city, which is reported to be aflame and burning furiously.
