A NEW SCHOOL.

DEPARTMENT MAKES GRANT. / The Canterbury Education Board lias been notified by the. Department that a grant has. been made for the purpose of building a new school in Linwood avenue. Some time ago the Board was given a'site on the avenue for this purpose. The new school will be a six-roomed building of the open-air type, and will be centrally situated between the Philhpstown, Linwood, and Bromley Schools.

The Department also has made a grant for the purpose of adding a new room to the New Brighton Main School.
