SEALED BOTTLE MILK.
VENDORS' ANNUAL MEETING. The first annual meeting of the Sealed Bottle Milk Vendors' Association was held yesterday afternoon, Mr R. W. Sanson presiding. The chairman said that the year had been one of achievement despite the small financial loss. The establishment of the laboratory and the testing of cows, for tuberculosis had done much in gaining the confidence of the public, and making them realise that cheap milk was poor milk. He ventured to say that the association members' milk had improved at least 50 per cent, during the year. * Mr H. Bliss, who seconded the adoption of the report, also paid a tribute to the good work accomplished by the Association. The Report. The annual report reviewed the Association's work during the year, which showed considerable progress in the improving of the quality of milk being supplied to the public. The balance-sheet disclosed a loss of £lB 17s Id, which was due solely to the heavy expenditure incurred in the establishing and maintaining the laboratorv. , Officers were elected as follows: President. Mr K.' W. Sanson; vice-presi-dents: Messrs H. Bliss and F. Vinieombe; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr L. Lceming; auditor, Mr W. H. Nicholls.
