ANNUAL COMPETITIONS. The Band of Hope Union competitions were continued in St. Paul's School Ha'l. Lichfield street, last evening, when the first of the finals were judged. A large and enthusiastic audience greeted the performers. The duet and songs in character brought applauso from the audience. The judges were: Vocal, Mrs Hilda A. Reeve; pianofort*, Miss B. Pollard; elocution, Mr J. E. Lester. Besults: PIANOFORTE DUET, Class B. "Iris Intermez2o" (I'. Renard). The judges said all the characters were well portrayed. The singing was very good, nnd credit was due to performers for their effec-' tivo dressing.
