N.S.W. MURDER.
WRITS AGAINST PUBLISHER APPLIED FOR. (BT CABLE -PRESS ASSOCIATION—rOrTRIGRT.) (AUSTJULIAK A.N'D *.Z- CAB.'.* ASSOCUTIOK.) (Received October 27th, 30.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 27. The action has begun wherein Hubert Higgs, Bruce Higgs, and William Higgs are applying Jo the Full Court for writs of attachment against Robert Clyde Packer, printer and publisher of the "Daily Guardian" newspaper, and the proprietors of the "Daily Guardian" for contempt of Court in publishing'three articles at different dates giving alleged details of the murder of Leslie. The applicants are now on remand charged with the murder of Leslie and allege that the articles in the "Guardian" were of such a nature as to prejudice tho fairness of their trial. [Ronald Laehlan Leslie, a grazier and man of means, was found dead in his motor-car. which was standing in a lonely by-road. There were three bullet wounds in the chest. Later the three brothers, Hubert, Bruce, and William Higgs, were arrested and charged with murder. |
