FELL DOWN STAIRCASE. (PRESS \SSOCIATIOX TELEGRAM .5 WELLINGTON, October 26. Admitted to tlx© hospital with a. fractured skull at 5 p.m. to-day, Joseph Harvey, a watersider, died at 5.55 p.m. The deceased, a man of between 45 and 50 years of age, was a widower and leaves a daughter, who is thought to reside in Christchurch. None of the other-occupants of the boarding-house at which deceased resided witnessed the accident, which occurred between 4 and 4.30 p.m., but Harvey.was found stretched out at the toot of the stairs, his head having come in violent contact with the concrete floor. _ The body was found in such a position as to indicate that the deceased had overbalanced when walking up thfe stairs.
