LE BON'S BAY ROAD BOARD.

; MONTHLY MEETING. At the last meeting of the Le Bon's Bay Koad Board there were present: Messrs W. G. Dalglish (chairman), T. Mcintosh, A. A. Macphail, G. Mould, and W. Mackay. Messrs P. and C. Elliott applied for three months' extension of time on their metal contract, and a. progress payment of £l2. Mr Macphail, moved, and it was agreed, that they be granted two months' extension as from October 15th, 1927. J. Gilbert wrote that his metal contract on Panama road was completed. It was resolved to instruct the foreman to measure the metal, also P. and C. Elliott's metal, and send the measurements to the clerk, who was authorised to pay each of the contractors the amount due. The clerk was instructed to write to P. Moore, Okain's Bay, informing him that when his stock was impounded from Mould's Gully on August 6th last the Le Bon's Bay pound was the nearest public pound.

Mr W. Elliott waited on the Board on behalf of the be' Bon's Bay dairy factory asking for permission to cross the roads with a telephone line. It was resolved that the request be granted subject to .the usual conditions. Mr J. H. Barker," of Barker Bros., waited on the Board asking if it would form about seTen chains of road leading to their iarm. If the Board could see its way to do the work they would be prepared to put a •man on to help. After the members had inspected the proposed road, they decided to have the work done, recognising that Messrs Barker Bros, had made a very good offer. ■ • The foreman was instructed to have » enivert below Mr G. ; Mould's gully lengthened, and also to do a few days' work on the bush: track. .
