OBITUARY.
CARDINAL O'DONNELL. (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) RUGBY, October 24. Cardinal O'Donnell, Catholic Primate of Ireland, died at his residence on Carlingford Lough yesterday, aged 71 years. Cardinal O'Donnell through, out his life had been closely identified with the cause of Irish Nationalism, but after the establishment of the Free State he strove to soften the feeling which had been aroused. Ho was much loved throughout Ireland. (His Eminence Cardinal Patrick )onnell, Oatholio Archbishop of Armagh, was born at Kilraine, Glenties, County Donegal, in 1856. He was educated, at the. Catholic University, Maynooth, and was appointed Rector of the Catholic - University of Ireland. He was titular Archbishop of Attalia, and coadjutor to Cardinal Lague from 1922-24, and was appointed a cardinal in 1925.] JAPANESE PRINCESS. (BT CABLB—PR«SS ASSOCIATIOX— COPYRIGHT.) She was married to tho sth Marquess of Ely, who died in 1925.
