SYDNEY, October 25. Tho New Zealand cricketers aro disinclined to be interviewed, but they stated they were a happy family throughout the tour. The performances of Merritt, Jainos, and Blunt particularly delighted the crowds. Lowry said the weather greatly militated against the financial success of the tour, badly reducing the attendances. It was impossible to expect people shivering in bitterly cold weather to sit find watch the,games. The Cricket Association is giving the team an official reception on Thursday next. Critics who watched the team at the nets to-day were greatly impressed by tho New Zealandcrs' form, which had wonderfully improved since they were last seen in action in Sydney. The team to meet New South Wales will not be selected till Friday morning.
