LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Canterbury Land Board was held in the District Jj.inds and Survey Office, Christchureh, last Wednesday. Cases before the Board totalled 100, including Id transfers (Crown leaseholds and ♦soldiers' farms and bouse properties) ; 4 applications for land, 8 applications from discharged soldiers for advances for purchase of stock, implements, etc.. 9 applications' from mortgagors of bouse properties for permUsiou to- let their dwellings. The following were approved:— Transfers—Section 7, Block XVI., Lowry Peaks S.D., 235 acres £ roods, lI.M. the King to' John Duncan J nek (ran; Run 113 Mackenzie County, "llakatere," 54,700 acres, William Nathani'al Carlon Bond to Harold Herbert Eiworthy; Res. 1113, Bloct 'IV., Kakaia, 625 acres. Frances Gertrude Baxter and Robert Baxter to Frances Gertrude Baxter; Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, Waimate Suburbs, 4 acres 3 roods, Margaret Kennedy to Timothy Kennedy atd Michael .Stephen Kennedy: part Te Moans riverbed, adjoining R.S. 29215, etc., Block XIV., Geraldine, and Block 11, Arowbenua S.D., 23 acres, William Thomas Bill and James Bill to John White. Applications for land —Crown land in Waihao riverbed adjoining R.S. 16792, Block 1., W*3itaki S.D., 9 acres, year to year, to C. H. Verity.
