DISPOSAL AT DESTRUCTOR. "I have noticed a statement in the newspapers that eighteen tons of fish arc being disposed of every week iu the destructor," said Cr. J. \V. Roberts at the City.Council meeting last evening. He asked the acting-chair-man of the Works Committee how much of this was offal and how much edible fish, which could have been sold to tho public. Cr. G. 11. Hunter said the Works Committee would go into the matter. A record was being prepared. Most of the stuff going through was unfit for human consumption.
