LOCAL BILLS PASSED. (fbuss association t*leg»am.) WELLINGTON, October 24. In the House of Representatives tonight the Minister for Industries and Commerce promised to make enquiries whether there was a glut on the fish ' market in Wellington, and whether it was a fact that this, caused no reduction in the retail price to consumers. The following local Bills were put' through all stages and passed: The Makerua Drainago Board Loan-Empow-ering Bill (Mr Nash), the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Bill (Mr Parry), the Dunedin City Corporation Empowering Amendment Bill (Mr Tap- ' ley), the Wellington City and Suburban Highways Construction, and Hutt Road Amendment Bill (Mr.Forsyth), the Hutt River Board, Gear Island Empowering \ Bill (Mr Wilford), the Hukarere Native Girls' School Amendment BUI (Mr J. Mason), the Petono and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Amendment Bill (Mr Wilford), the Greytown Trust Lands Trustees Empowering Bill (the Hon. Mr McLeod). The following Bills were, on the motion of the Prime Minister, postponed:' The rhristchurch Tramway District Amendment Bill, the Timaru Harbour Board Loan Bill (the Hon. Mr Holieston). The House rose at 9.15 p.m.
