BY "CELIA." NO. 4 PORCH FLOORS. Porches, which once were regarded as "somewhere to stand while you ring the door-bell," are one of the pleasautest features of tho modern home. But porch floors are a problem—too large now, to scrub—too exposed for polish". The best plan is paint and the new Durograss rugs. A man with a floor-surfacing machine can, in an hour, surface your porch floor to the smoothness of linoleum. Apply a coat of grey paint, and finish with a coat of good enamel. Soft greys or blues are most suitable, but whatever the colour chosen it will be possible to find' matching shades in Durograss rugs, and to carry out in your porch any colour combination you choose. These rugs, with their infinite range of colourings, have the definite advantage over other types of mats, that sun, damp, or the dust that inevitably drifts into open porches, leave Durograss unaffected.
