AT THE THEATRE ROYAL. The modem magic of Carter the Great continues to thrill and mystify largo audiences at (lie Theatre Royal, but at the samo time it amuses. Tiio many tricks and illusions are carried out in a manner which enables the people to think they see. everything that is taking place. This adds to the, mystery of the performance. Tho most intriguing of the magician's presentations is the "Disappearing Flapper." One moment slio is in mid-air, suspended by a rope, a pistol flashes, and the next moment s-bo has vanished. Miss Kvelyn Maxwell undertakes to answer any question that the audienco cares to put. nn paper. The actual writing i.-i not scon by Miss Maxwell, yet she answers correctly each query. Yesterday's 'matinee, and evening performance were attended by largo crowds, and tho show will bo repeated nightly.
