STRAND THEATRE.
"THE PRAIRIE KING" AND "THE RAG MAN." The contents of 3 will, as they aii'ect three persons iu a typical Spanish fiesta, are the central motifs of "The Prairio King," now showing nt the Strand Theatre. The picture commences with colourful scenes in n border town where tirao has wrought a fusion of Latin temperament and American speed. The story builds up logically, and Hoot Gibson puts up a striking performance in the title role. "The Rag Man," the second feature, is a combination of Jowisli and Irish humour. Jackie Coogan is the star. The story has been cleverly written and well produced, the sub-titles being particularly notable for their wit. "The Return of the Riddlo Rider," a comedy, a news film, and a Xew Zealand scenic complete the bill.
