He Was educated nt the Catholic University, Maynootb. He was a Professor of Theology and Prefect of the Dunboyne Establishment. Maynooth; Rector of ■ the Cathob'o University of Ireland; Roman Catholic Bishop of Raphoe from 1888 to 1922, Titular Archbishop of Attalia, and coadjutor to Cardinal Logue from 1922 to 1924. He became a Cardinal in 1925.]
