Duncan, 3s 6d; Alice Carmartin v. \V. Glasonbury, £3 4s 6d; M. S. Gentles, Ltd., v. S. A. Thomas, £3B Bs. CLAIM FOR DAMAGE. Beath and Co., Ltd. (Mr Lascellcs) claimed from W. Thompson, 84 Madras street (Mr Batchelor) for the sum of £44 17s 3d alleged to be due for defendant so negligently managing a motor-car that it struck and damaged a car belonging to plaintiff's company. The claim was made up of £23 15s 3d for repairs, £ls for depreciation, and £6 2s for hire of a car in place of that damaged. The Magistrate, after hearing the evidence, gave judgment for the full amount claimed.
