Tlie newspaper "La Prensa'' lias voiccrl tho demand that the Government take active, steps to effect the immigration of British people into Argentina. ll urges the desirability of British immigrants, and calls attention to the existing unemployment in Great Britain. Tho newspaper states: "Great Britain's surplus population is our lack. Yet our need of immigrants is not s;o peremptory that we mutt sacrifice, quality for quantity The incorporation of British people into Argentine society has always had happy results. The 'British in Argentina haw never played collective politics, and have always had an ingrained respect t'oi- law. While- ihey have eonserved a deep affection for their Homeland, they have never been morbidly or noisily patriotic." Tlie' newspaper deplores what it terms ''the Government's lack of initiative in attracting British immigrants."
