WELLINGTON ELEPHANT, NAMED. j [THE PBBSS Special SoirJct.] WELLINGTON, January 21. The Mayor and Mayoress and a good number of tho Councillors, members ot the Wellington Zoological Society, and their friends were more or less formally introduced to the elephant at s the Zoo this mornis". Mrs T, Fathers, the wife of the president of the ZoologicaJ Society, named the animal "Nellikutha." Mrs Fathers also bestowed the pet name "Kutha" (pronounced "Kooth") for use by those who are apt to be tripped by four syllables.
