SYDNEY, January 21,

A terrific storm, accompanied by thunder and lightning, occurred at Parkes. Many buildings were struck by lightning and ruined. Buildings" were unroofed by the gale and trees uprooted. Nearly two inches of rain fell in half an hour. Some places were flooded!
