Interviewed by a PKES3 '.representative after Ilia game with Angas in the men'a singles tenuis championship yesterday, Mr i\\ i'each, captain of tho visiting players, aaid he was very much impressed with the lino grounds at Wilding Park. "They are ideal grounds from a tenuis point of view," bo said, "nicely fitted up and handy to the. City. A' big feature is the space, and there is plenty of room to chase about. The green baize is another feature. Tho people of C'hristcburch are to be complimented on having such a fine playing area." Questioned as to the slowness of the courts >e replied: "All new grounds are on the slow side, but after a year or two of playing on these courts they will turn out very fine areas." Asked what ho thought of the Canterbury voufh, Angas, ho said: "Well, of course, I liave not had much of an opportunity to judge him yet. He has some good' shots, and i 3 a lad full of possibilities. Probably he was suffering a. little from nervousness."
