LATE MR D. C. GUTHRIE.
THE FUNERAL. Numerous ex-pupils of the Christchurch Boys' High School attended the funeral.of the late Mr D. C. Guthrie, which was held yesterday afternoon at Linwood Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Perry, of St. Michael's Vicar-, age, conducted the service at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Drs. F. V. Bevan-Brown and W. S. Seed Messrs G. Holder, A. E. Byrne, T. Bain, and A. D. McConnell. With the exception of Mr Holder, all are members of the High School Old Boys' Association. Wreaths were sent by the following: Mrs Arthur Rhodes, Mrs Bevan-Browu and Dr. F. Bevan-Brown, Sisters Roberts . and Aiken, Mrs L. M. Isitt and Mrs Thornton, Red Cross Executive Committee, Lady Wigrara, Mr, Mrß, and Miss Charlewood, Mr and Mrs J. S. Middleton, Mr and Mrs C. F. Smith and Jean, Mr Frank Moorhouse, staff and patients at Ranherdale Home, Mrs Alfred Brown and Miss Brown, Mr and Mrs D. McConnell, Mrs L. H. Maddison, Miss Holmes. Miss Middleton, Mr and Mrs W. Williamson, the Bach at New Brighton, Miss Joy England, Mr and Mrs T. Bain, nursing staff C.M.1., Christchurch Hospital, Mrs G. R. Martin and Miss Piper, the Guiney f'amilv, Mr T. H. Grenfell, Mr and Mrs H. Bradley. Ida, Mrs John Duncan and familv, Ida and Stanley, Ernie Byrne and Mrs Byrne. Dr. W. S. Seed, and High School Old Boys' Association. The cortege, which left 9 Carlton Mill road, was a. lengthy one, tho*e following the hearse including Messrs J. S. Guthrie, E. L. Cheeseman, A. B. Ellis, W. Guthrie. J G. S. Holmes, T H. Davcy. G.
