SMALL THEFTS.
SUBURBAN HOUSES ENTERED, Several suburban th'eftg have occurred in Ohristchurch during the last few days. Houses have been broken into when the owners were away for the day, and small sums of money and some jewellery stolen. The police believe the thefts to be the work of boys, as no articles of any great value have been taken.' Burwood residents are very concerned in the movements of a young man, who is reported to be living in the scrub between Bottle Lake Hospital and the pea-front.
