There will be a . big. sports meeting, and amusement carnival-at .Honica Park on the evenings'of February'2iid, 3rd, 4th, and'"sfh, : and on 'the afternoon of Saturday, February sth ' and the Monica Parle Committee has engaged the services, of Air. 11. \V. Xesbitt, who will act as sports- organiser. The programme will, include both-amalcur and professional cycling and track' races, and" a motor-paced race between those.old rivals, Phil O'Shea and "Willie -Maekie, llio winner of which will meet Jack Henderson, the New. Zealand champion. The track- is bein- specially laid and lit. so that patrons will have every opportunity of witnessing and enjoying the various events. Additional attractions will be baby beauty competitions and baby' crawling champion-, ships -numerous side-shows,: and novelty event's that should cause endless amusement and interest,-airdJeventhin? possible is being done to ensure the comfort of the public.
