SANDERS CUP.
0 ENTERTAINING THE YACHTSMEN. APPEAL FOR FUNDS. A meeting of the Canterbury Yachting Association was held last night to discuss questions in regard to the entortainment of tho yachtsmen who are visiting Canterbury for the Sanders Cup contest. Mr W. T. Lester was in tho chair. The Finance Appeal Sub-Committee (Messrs W. T. Lester, R. B. Owen, 0. J. Treleaven, and Cyrus Williams) was authorised tosend a circular letter to Arms and persons interested, asking for assistance in financing the entertainment of the visitors. _ The sub-committeo will receive Christchurch subscriptions, Mr W. A. Owles those from Brighton and district, and the Mayor of Lyttelton the Lyttelton subscriptions. It was decided to ask the Mayor of Sumner to undertake arrangements for collecting in Sumner and Redcliffs. Southland Soat. The Southland Yachting Association advised that Murihiku 11. would represent Southland in the Sanders Cup contest. The Wellington Association wrote stating that Peggy would be Wellington's representative.
