HOURS DISPUTE AT BRISBANE. (BY- CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLS ASSOCIATION.) BRISBANE, January Following the decision of employees in the building trade not to work more than forty hours a week, a large number of them was absent from work on Saturday. AVhen they presented themselves for work on Monday they were dismissed. The Master Builders' Association, in an ultimatum, states that none of the men dismissed will be re-employed unless the strike for the forty hours' week is called off.
