At its meeting last night the Heathcote County Council decided on Thursday as the statutory half-holi-day in the county for 1927. That never before had he seen such a phenomenal growth of grass as in Taranaki at present, was the opinion of a recent visitor to that province. Great yields of dairy produce have been the predominating feature of the season. Fat cattle are plentiful and conditions generally are promising. ']* he success ot children's birthday parties is assured by having a generous supply of Cooke's famous quality Icecream. Nothing else keeps the youngsters so happy and contented. Any quantity of Cooke's pure Ice-cream can be delivered right to your door or elsewhere for picnics, parties, dances, etc., by writing instructions to W. R. Cooke and Son, High street, or ringing 'phone 8610. Cooke's will do the rest. ~-<3
