ADDINGTON METHODIST CIRCUIT.
QUARTERLY MEETING. The, quarterly meeting of the Methodist Church, Addington circuit, wus held at the Union Church schoolroom, the Kev. Arthur Liverscdgc presiding. Full consideration had been given to membership, ;md the returns presented were satisfactory. Tho bahnce-shcet showed a small credit balance, and v.-as approved. Keports on the young people'e departments indicated that pood work was being continued Homo and Foreign Mission returns vrere gratifying, and tho respective committees were re-elected. Messrs K. Lockvood and E. Fehsenfeld wf-re re-elected circuit stewards, and Mr J. H. James wa.s appointed representative to conference, with Mr V. T. Burley as substitute. Mr Livoree-dge dealt very fuily with, the various activities of the Church, espjcia!!;,' stressing the importance of the recent Gipsy Smith Mission, which had been a prreat influence fcr good.- Proposals in the direction of advancement were referred to, and will he dealt with by the responsible committees. Special collections were authorised for harvest festivals at Union Church on March 6th and Lincoln toad Church on M«ch 13th.
