CYCLING UNION.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TBLEOBAU.) TAUMARDNUI, January 14. The annual conference of the New Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union and Axemon's Association was presided over by Mr J A. Hansen. Delegates present were: Messrs B. Meek (Oamaru), W. J. Walter and P. C. Lucas (Christchurch), A. J. Fisher and F. O'Neill (Blenheim), J. Collingwood (Wanganui), A. A. George and W. Cuthbertson (Hawko's Bay), C. E. Church (Gisborne) R. H. Browne and Sam Sarah (Taumaruniii), A. M. Ryan and "J. Coutts (Taihape), and J. Jones (Tangltu), representing the Northern Union Association, and the secretary, Mr J. Kennedy. The president said that only a few years ico tho Union had a large dedcit, and now 'had a credit balance of £lB9 14a Id, and assets totalling £219. The conference dealt with a number of remits mostlv in connexion with amendments to rules and adopted the rules drawn up by the South Canterbury Centre governing amateur cycle races.
