BURNING MOTOR-TRUCK SAVED,

DUNEDIN, January 13.
The plucky action and initiative of Mr Donald Fletcher, of Baklutha, saved a new motor-truck, valued at several hundred pouttdß, from destruction by fire vesterday at Kaka Point. A "boy, who was. delivering the truck to a purchaser, had trouble in starting up. The truck caught Are, and the boy was helpless. Mr Fletcher jumped into the burning vehicle, and while it was burning fiercely ho drove it into the sea, whore' the blaze was quickly extinguished. The car was then hauled out again, and it was found that the damage suffered was comparatively small.
