NEW ZEALANDERS WAITING
LTHE PftEBS Special Service.]
AUCKLAND, January 13
A large dumber of New Zealanders is waiting to obtain permits to enter the United States, and the American Consul in Auckland, Mr W. F, Boyle, stated to-day that there are between 50 and 60 New Zealanders on the list in Auckland waiting to be admitted into the States under th 6 Dominion's immigration quota. There is also a lengthy list at the office of the ConsulGeneral in Wellington. As New Zealand's quota is only 100 immigrants yearly, some of those registered at Auckland, will have to wait at least twelve months, Unless BOme of the Wellington applications are withdrawn.
It is only during the last six Or seven months that the waiting list lias accumulated. A year ago there were not nearly so many people wanting to go to the United States.
