MT. HERBERT GUN CLUB.
CLAY,PIGEON SHOOTING. Tho members of the Mt. Herbert Gun Club held their first shoot for tho 1927 season on tho club's grounds at Tcddington, on Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance of shooters and spectators, and some excellent scores were ruadp by tho local shooters. Tho chief event was tho initial shoot for iho club's cup, each competitor to shoot at fifteen olays off the 14 yard mark. After -a. very interesting J°*iPctiUon tho winner proved to be Bert Write, who was the only shooter to secure the possible number of breaks. The cup is to be held by the winner for twelve months and he also becomes the owner of a miniature cup. The following are the principal scores for tho various events. Gebbie (12yds), 011110 .. • • * Tho final event was a quail drive shoot at six clays. This was divided by Bert Witte and E. Hammond who each ehot tho possible. . Tho trophies were presented by Mr &. Hammond who congratulated the shooters on their performances, and called for three cheers for the winners.
