SHIPPING NOTES. The MnUcno, which was delayed at Weliuglon on Tuesday night owing to a dispute between the firemen and' the cooks and stewnrds is due here early this morning. She will discharge and load for Melbourne) and is to sail this afternoon on the arrival or tho 4-5 P- m - train from Christchurch, for Dunedin, Bluff, and Melbourne. The Tees Is to be dispatched this afternoon for the Chatham Islands, calling at Waitangi The John loads at Lyttelton to-morrow for Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. _ The Gale is expected from Timaru this morning. She loads here for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Holmdale should be here on Sunday from the south, to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Orepuki is due at Lyttelton to-morrow from Tarakohe with cement for discharge. She will subsequently load here for Nelson, Westport. and Greymouth. The Breeze is timed to take in cargo here to-morrow for Dunedin and Timaru. The Kiwitea is expected here to-moTrow morning from Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. She discharges here, and then loads for Timaru, Oamarn, Dunedin, Bluff, and Hobart. The Kahika is expected on Saturday from Timaru. She is to sail in the afternoon, taking rnr*ro for Napier and Gisborne. The Waipiata is due on Saturday to load (or Auckland. She sails via Wellington. Tho Waihcmo lends at Pacific Coast ports late i« January and early in February for Apia. Napier. Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Ply-nim-.i!.. and Wellington. The Shaw-Savill Company's liner Mataroa. now completing her Homeward loading at Wellington, is to take her final departure from there at daybreak on Saturday for Southampton and London, via Panama. The American steamer West Conob was to leave Napier yesterday for Wellington, and is due there to-day. She will proceed from there to Nelson. Lyttelton. Timaru, and Dunedin to complete discharge of her Pacific Coast cargo.
The Federal Company has received a radio messaee from the Northumberland en route from Liverpool, stating that aha i« expected to reach Auckland early this morning The Northumberland will also discharge atNapier ■Wellington. Lvttelton, and Port Chalmers ' The New Zealand Shipping Company'has received advice that the Puriri will be leaving St. John about January 25th.
The Shaw, Savill Company advises that the Athenic, now loading at Napier, is to leave there to-morrow for Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading. She is due at Wellington on January 21st, and is timed to sail finally on January 28th for Southampton and London, via Panama. To continue loading for New York, Boston, and Halifax, and West of England ports, the Devon arrived at Wanganui on Monday morning from New Plymouth. The vessel was expected to leave Wanganui on Tuesday for Gisborne, Auckland, Lyttelton, and Wellington - , The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rotorua arrived at Bluff at 6 a.m. on Sunday from Wellington, to complete discharge, and to commence loading. She will leave there to-morrow for Thnaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The Rotorua is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on January 29th for Southampton and London, via Panama. Tho Otarama, en route for New Zealand, arrived at Newport News on January 4th. REMUERA FROM LONDON.
The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Romuera. arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning from London and Southampton, via Wellington, where she called on Monday to land North Island passengers and mails. She brought passengers to Lyttelton, and a big consignment of general cargo. The Remuera left London on December 3rd for Southampton, and cleared the latter port' the following day. A call was made.at Curacao on December 17th for oil fuel, arid Colon was reached on the 19th. Balboa was cleared on the evening of tho 20th. The weather remained fine throughout the whole trip. A stay of three hours was made at Pitcairn on December 31st. When approaching the New Zealand coast the Remuera ran into n hoavy south-west swell. Four days after leaving Colon a fire occurred among'tho parcqls mail stowed in No. 2 hold. As previously reported, tho outbreak was quickly suppressed. Captain J. J. Cameron retains command of the Rem'uern, and has with him the following officers:—-Chief rfiicer, Mr C. R. Pilchcr; second, Mr E. Mills; third, Mr P. Pover; fourth, Mr P. L. Shakespeare; surgeon. Dr. A. W. Comber; chief engineer, Mr .W. R. Sneddon'; chief steward, Mr P. S. Bowen. The Remuera Is to sail on Monday for Port Chalmers. ;
